FEDECOVERA has assembled a multidisciplinary team that with adapted technology offers to its small farmers a myriad of services.

In 1995, FEDECOVERA launched a big Education Program in partnership with IGER (Instituto Guatemalteco de Education Radiofonica). The idea was to teach farmers the basic Management tools to help them to organize their own cooperative. For this, we used the technology available:  the radio when it was impossible to move the population from its distant villages. It was the beginning of the Education Adventure of FEDECOVERA. Since that time, actions and projects to train cooperatives’ members are done regularly via Workshops by a team of experts. By fomenting honest and competent administrative and financial management, we seek to create leaders that create confidence and develop managerial skills in their affiliated cooperatives.

 
Besides this Training Program for adults, FEDECOVERA participates to build, repair children school and furnish the tools appropriated (For example, in the Cooperative of Chirrepec, the scholarship material is fully furnished by FEDECOVERA).
